Fairfield Chair Company is a major U.S. manufacturer of fine upholstered seating for the home, office, and hospitality industries. The product line includes sofas, loveseats, sleepers, chairs, executive desk chairs, desks, and tables. At medium to medium-high price points Fairfield is noted for quality and value. Established in 1921, Fairfield Chair Company is owned and managed by the third generation of the founding family. Fairfield distributes its product throughout the U.S. and many other countries. Plants and office facilities are located in Lenoir, North Carolina USA.
Fairfield offers over 400 frame styles and over more than 1500 different fabrics and leathers plus Customer's Own Material (C.O.M.) capabilities. Twenty-five finishes are available on exposed wood. To insure prompt delivery, the majority of fabrics and over 60,000 frames are in stock at all times. Most orders ship in 21 days or less. Quality control from the frame to the fabric, masterful craftsmanship, and precise tailoring result in upholstered furnishings that are standards of value and excellence.
To maximize strength and durability, frames are constructed of solid kiln dried hard woods and laminated hard wood veneers. Many major stress joints feature both triple doweling and corner blocks that are attached with glue, staples and four screws. To insure frame integrity and compatibility with style and design requirements, frames are engineered to use a variety of joint constructions. All solid hardwood is dried to 6%-8% moisture content.
Individually pocketed steel coil springs and sinuous wire spring constructions are used. The swivel rocker base features 49 ball bearings, five springs, and 1000 pound breaking strength on the tabs. Fairfield Chair Company offers a vast variety of tables, desk, and upholstered seating that combines comfort, quality, and value.
